Senior Loan Officer

We are seeking a resourceful, motivated and engaging senior loan officer to join our Cayuga Lake National Bank (CLNB) family. CLNB has been serving our community for over 158 years. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Go the “extra mile” to build trust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Manage an existing portfolio with the same level of dedication and exceptional service our customers are accustom to, as well as establishing new relationships.
  • Establish referral networks, suggest alternative channels and cross-sell products and services.
  • Obtain current financials and other updated information, as needed, from borrowers.
  • Perform financial spreading related to all types of commercial loan underwriting and/or working with internal Credit Analyst.
  • Perform financial analysis and underwriting on new and existing customer relationships.
  • Advise clients on suitable loan and credit options.
  • Consult with the Commercial Loan Portfolio Officer to ensure adherence to credit policies, credit lines, standards and procedures.
  • Prepare reports for presentation to the President, Loan Committee, and/or the Board of Directors.
  • Work as a team member, willingness to help fellow colleagues and loan department staff when needed.
  • Contribute to the overall profitability of the bank; implement cost controls for the department and monitor expenses to ensure compliance with the budget established by the Executive Management Team.
  • Provide leadership, training and support to less experienced loan officers and other staff members. Play a positive role in the development and growth of the loan department staff through excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong delegation skills.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of financial history, economy, market conditions, rates, vendors and competition.
  • Directly responsible in meeting annual deposit and loan growth goals assigned by the Executive Management Team.
  • Monitor staff in daily tasks, operations and quality control, and ensure the organization and allocation of resources are established for maximum results.
  • Responsible for working with internal, external auditors and examiners to gather data, prepare reports and answer questions related to loan department.

Qualifications:

  • Solid organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic with ability to meet deadlines

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software (LaserPro), as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or a minimum of 5 years experience in similar role

Salary starting at $100,000.00. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, vacation and sick days and a 401K.

Full-time Teller

The hours are from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday (some Friday's 8:00 am - 6:00 pm) and 8:45 until 12:15 every third Saturday.

The position includes performing routine branch and customer service duties by taking deposits; cashing checks; accepting loan payments; opening and closing the branch and vault; balancing the cash drawers, vault and ATM; operating ITM’s; promoting and selling bank services; opening accounts; issuing money orders and cashier’s checks; answering the phone; and efficiently navigating our computer system.

Required skills include high school diploma; banking experience is desired but not required.

Salary will be based on experience. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, vacation and sick days and a 401K.

Part-time Teller

The candidate must have a customer-focused attitude, friendly personality, good communication skills and enthusiastic work ethic.

The hours are from 10:30 am until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and 8:45 until 12:15 every third Saturday. The position includes performing routine branch and customer service duties by taking deposits; cashing checks; accepting loan payments; opening and closing the branch and vault; balancing the cash drawers, vault and ATM; operating ITM’s; promoting and selling bank services; opening accounts; issuing money orders and cashier’s checks; answering the phone; and efficiently navigating our computer system.
